Life is too short to be serious all the time (13.12.18)
Lumen Crypt Gallery, St John @ Bethnal Green London

In response to Lumen Studios open call, independent curator Georgia Stephenson brings together three artists whose practices respond directly to the Anthropocene.

Life is too short to be serious all the time sees artists Jack Evans, Michael Hautemulle and Richard Müller come together to offer an obscene comicality as they deal with issues of this proposed period, through new sculpture, film and installation works.

The exhibition, specifically created with the crypt space in mind, promises to deliver a joyful lens with which to view uncertain fates.

Jack Evans, WWDFD? (What Would Dan Flavin Do?).

Richard Müller, Golem #3: An Apology.

Richard Müller, Golems #1 and #2.

Michael Hautemulle, I Need a Lifetime (and beyond) Lover.
